The Nicollet Knights, led by Brian Ribnick is one of the schools looking to make this possible and they need your help. Their annual silent auction has already started, and it will go through March 23rd, ending at 2pm. Some of the items up for bid include the following: Packages to places such as the Minnesota Zoo, Bowlero, and the MN Orchestra Gift Cards to various places including Pizza Luce, Tipsy Steer, Pub 42, Kwik Trip, and Cub Foods Autographed sports memorabilia from Andrew Van Grinkel, Anthony Edwards, and Mike Tyson Chess Lessons offered by IM John Bartholomew, NM Andrew Titus, and NM Tim Radermacher Entry into premier events taking place in the Midwest such as the Governors Cup, Gopher Open, and the Great Lakes Festival And much more, over 200 items are up for bid! If you are looking for something you do not have to bid on, and instead a fun night out, have you heard of Beyond the Queens Gambit, hosted by Pat LaVone? If you missed his performance back in November, his next show will take place Friday, March 21 at the Hive Collaborative. Beyond The Queens Gambit can be enjoyed on its own if you know nothing about chess, Pat’s performance will leave anyone pleased even if you don’t know the difference between P-KB4 and P-KB4.
