I see, Bad Bishops Rising
We seem to be in a bit of a revival here, its nice to see tournaments starting up again. Now, there are various reasons why some events do not continue year after year, and you are left scratching your head wondering why. But then again, there are various mainstay events that also leave you scratching your head as to why you made this investment in the first place, and you know something doesn’t feel right. There is always the endearing belief that every year is a different year, and will go through its ebbs and flows. Being a Minnesota sports fan does that to you, doesn’t it? While I can’t speak for those Minnesota branded entities, here are some events that will be of quality, even after a long absence.

I ain’t no Fortunate Pawn
Last seen in 2006…The Governors Cup was a successful endeavor when it was run and talks of this event starting up have been ongoing, finally settling for October 2024.

This thing called COVID forced SuperNationals to be played online instead of over the board in 2021, but it will be back and better than ever!
