Anyone who plays in the Burnsville Club and Action will receive an extra 10 points towards the 2025-2026 Scholastic Grand Prix. CLICK HERE for Details and registration.

Entry Fee:    
$25 
Online Registration will remain open until Wednesday, 12/3, 2025 at 11:59 pm
$35 Online Registration will remain open until Friday, 12/5, 2025 at 4:00 pm
$40 On site Registration will be open on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 8:00-8:30 am, cash or check preferred
Participants who arrive or register late are subject to not being paired for Round 1 or may start the round with reduced time

Team and individual award, scholastic focus
Open: Team and individual awards (Adults are also eligible in this section)
**Based on entries, there may be the possibility for a third section or sections may be combined
Byes: You may request up to 2 half point byes, additional byes will be zero point byes.  Round 5 half point byes need to be requested before Round 2.  Byes requested after Round 2 will be zero point byes

Sets will be provided. Bring a clock if you have one, and a writing utensil. Notation provided, or use your own.

What is the difference between a Club and a Team?
A Team usually defined as the school a person attends in scholastic competitions.  A Club is a broader definition, extending to non-school based groups one is a part of.  This allows groups/friends/individuals to not be paired against each other like a standard tournament playing as a club. How
What is an eligible club?
This is a loose definition, but what defines your club could be existing clubs, TCCL teams, local boundaries, shared bonds, common interests, Facebook groups, Discord groups, Lichess/Chess.com groups  or whatever faction you want to come up with.

Two or more players are required to make a team. Individuals may participate without being on a team. You may only play for a single club if you are a member of more than one club.

Important Notes
This will not be US Chess Rated, but US Chess rules will be in effect.  Club places are based on the top three player’s scores added together. Club names deemed inappropriate will be asked to come up with a new club name
If a team comprises more than 25% of the section, they may be asked to be split up
