Blind Chess Copy June 2017

Chess.  Is.  Good.  For.  You.

What a way to start off the summer folks, coconut oil is now deemed bad, and was never healthy to begin with, does this apply to all things coconut?  What purpose will a can of Dole’s Crushed Pineapple serve now!?  Speaking of getting caught in the rain, I bet that Morton’s salt lady has a weak grin or her face now, because in a few weeks time, salt will also be declared bad for you…Again.  Mark my word, by the end of the decade everything will be considered unhealthy except for watermelon and yak butter.

Don’t worry, traveling is good for you.  So is the Rochester Open this Saturday, so sign up here!  Round 1 will take place for the top two sections in Rochester Friday night, but for convenience, the Chess Castle will also host a Satellite Round 1 Wednesday night, register from 6:00-6:45pm.

Don’t worry, Blitz is good for you.  Sunday on the 25th, there will be back to back blitz tournaments.  The Birthday Blitz for Linden Li will take place first, followed by a Graduation Blitz for Jackson Wahl.  All graduating seniors will also receive free entry into the Grad Blitz.  Check the Castle page for details.

Don’t forget to sign up for the US Junior Open in a month in Northfield, MN.  The early rate deadline is fast approaching, and as a reminder, you are allowed to play as part of a school or club.  Sign up now!

More good news coming out of the Twin Ports Chess Club.  The Blindfold King, Timur Gareyev headlines the list of GM’s that are committing to the Twin Ports Open in August.  Also, there might be talk of another surprise, but there will be more on that later.  Patience is good for you.  This has been your Blind Chess Copy, June 2017.  Thank you for your time.
