The largest scholastic chess tournament in MN will take place this weekend, by the SCA with their Statewide K-3 and K-6 Championships. While the State Tournament drew over 260 kids from grades K-12, the tournament this weekend will host over 300 in grades K-6 alone. The way the School Chess Association continues to provide an arena for young minds to grow and prosper is impressive. Much is owed to the SCA for keeping chess a fixture in MN.
